Molly Maynard, MAMolly Maynard is a Pre-licensed Professional Counselor who enjoys working with individuals, couples and families. She uses a variety of therapeutic tools such as Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to assist each client in identifying and overcoming barriers to their personal change and improved functioning. In the course of counseling sessions she works with her clients on facing challenges that have prevented success in the past and works to develop and achieve goals for the future.

Prior to entering into private practice, Molly worked as a High School Counselor. During this time she was able to get a better understanding of what teens experience on a daily basis. She worked directly with the students and their families to create open lines of communication, advocating for the child, achieving academic success and handling issues such as anxiety and depression. Molly uses this experience and knowledge to better assist teens and their families in her private practice.

Molly also offers consulting to local area middle and high schools on the topic of relationships. Using the curriculum “Things to Know Before You Say Go”, Molly teaches a workshop that encourages students to critically think about their beliefs and values when it comes to choosing relationships with their friends, boyfriends, girlfriends and family. Please inquire for more information on having this workshop presented at your location!

Molly earned her Bachelors of Science in Sociology and Bachelor of Science in Social Science at Portland State University in 2004. She completed her Masters Degree in Counseling Education at Portland State University in 2007.
